The Emergency Department at Sint Maarten General Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to care for patients with serious injuries and sudden, life-threatening illness. Our team of emergency physicians and nurses works alongside on-site laboratory and radiology services to assess, stabilize and treat every patient as quickly as possible.
We provide rapid evaluation and treatment for a wide range of urgent conditions, including chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe injuries and trauma, stroke symptoms, severe infections, and acute abdominal pain. Patients are seen according to the severity of their condition, so the most critical cases are always treated first.
